Background
When Medicare Part D went into effect, millions of low-income seniors and people with disabilities were automatically transferred from Medicaid to Medicare for their prescription drug coverage. For months, advocates warned that many of America's weakest and most vulnerable residents would slip through the cracks and be unable to access their life-saving medications. They were right.

Defending Medicare Coverage for Low-Income Seniors: National Senior Citizens Law Center

Public Good PR launched a media campaign on behalf of the National Senior Citizens Law Center that positioned Jeanne Finberg, Lead Attorney at the Center, as a key spokesperson for national media outlets regarding the impact of Medicare Part D on low income seniors. After hiring Public Good PR, Finberg was quoted repeatedly in USA Today, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and on NPR, ABC World News Tonight and many local and regional newspapers and radio programs. Ms. Finberg’s ongoing role as an expert on the unintended consequences of Medicare Part D served to accurately educate the public about a population in desperate need of assistance while raising the national visibility of her organization.
