Background

Each year, three Californians receive the $25,000 California Peace Prize from the California Wellness Foundation. These are "unsung heroes," people who prevent violence in their communities through hard work and commitment, but who rarely receive recognition for their efforts.

Promoting the California Peace Prize: The California Wellness Foundation

Public Good PR worked with San Francisco-based i.e. communications to develop press coverage targeting the awardees' local communities—and state policymakers. The campaign earned a front-page story in the San Jose Mercury News, and a feature story in the California Journal, California's preeminent news source on public policy.
